Join Wallowa Land Trust and Fishtrap on Saturday, July 12th, as we bridge the ancient art of storytelling with 21st century technology. Each participant will have access to an iPad from the Fishtrap Story Lab which they can use to express their creative selves as they explore the landscape around them. At the end of the outing everyone will have the opportunity to share their art or thoughts with the group.

Free of charge, donations appreciated. Please RSVP by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling (541) 426-2042

We have had a great year at the Land Trust, and we want you to celebrate with us at our Annual Picnic! Join us on Saturday, August 19th starting at 4pm at the Lunde Home in Joseph (address below) to enjoy live music, Marr Flat Cattle Co. burgers, and Nick Lunde's homebrew. We're happy to provide the main course, but we need your help to round out the meal, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share!

Also, in an attempt to reduce our waste at this year's picnic, we are asking you to bring your own plate and utensils. Cloth napkins and eco-friendly drinking cups will be provided. Thanks!

We love the Wallowa Lake Moraines! And so do mule deer and elk. In fact, the moraines are vital winter range for these species. Please join us on Saturday, September 2 for a work party to restore habitat for these animals by removing a derelict barb-wire fence along a section of the East Moraine. This fence has impeded wildlife movement and even caused several deer to die after becoming stuck. Come help us make this landscape more accessible to the creatures who call it home!
