Heritage Farms & Ranches Project

CFR_frontcover

The Land Trust’s Heritage Farms & Ranches Project is an effort to preserve some of the unique agricultural heritage of Wallowa County’s registered Century Farms and Ranches.  These are family-run agricultural operations that have been in business continuously for at least 100 years.

Through personal interviews, historical documents and photographs, the Trust has produced a Century Farms & Ranches booklet of historical information and photographs from each participating farm or ranch as well as a regional locator map.

BUY A BOOKLET!:
Century Farms & Ranches booklets cost $5 each and are for sale at The Bookloft in Enterprise, Wallowa County Museum in Joseph, and Wallowa Land Trust office in Enterprise.

To order a hard or electronic copy of the booklet, or for more information on this project, please contact Julia Lakes.

This project was funded in part by a grant from the Oregon Heritage Commission of the Oregon Parks & Recreation Department.
