Wallowa Land Trust's Annual Picnic has been canceled due to rising COVID-19 cases in Wallowa County.
We are sad to say that after much discussion and careful watch of COVID-19 numbers, the Wallowa Land Trust team has made the decision to cancel our Annual Picnic this weekend. This decision was based off of updates from both the CDC and Wallowa Memorial Hospital, who reported 14 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend. Unfortunately, COVID-19 cases are increasing rapidly in Wallowa County much like the rest of the state.

Based off of this information, we felt it crucial to do our part in keeping those we love safe and mitigate any potential for furthering this spike in rising COVID-19 cases. We are reminded that despite our excitement to gather together and celebrate conservation work here in northeast Oregon, this pandemic is not yet over.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see your faces in the near future! Your continued support of our work through these uncertain times remains a light at the end of the tunnel. We will gather together someday soon, and until then, stay safe.
*** Our annual art raffle will still go on! While the winning ticket will not be drawn at the now-canceled annual picnic, we will instead draw the winner on Tuesday, August 31st at our office.
